I’m not interested in spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt. Search engine optimization is unlikely to harm your web site. The problem with bad SEO is that it will waste your time and money. Bad SEO can succeed in the marketplace because instant results are impossible as a practical matter, and no reputable SEO can guarantee higher rankings on Google within a short timeframe. Bad SEO’s make money on that spread of time between their engagement and the customer’s realization that there is no ROI for the service they have paid for. Phone Consulting

I enjoy meeting clients and talking with them, and I have a long history of success moving sites in the right direction with SEO phone consulting. I find telephone consult to be similar to high-stakes poker. At the same time that you are playing the board, the more important objective is to play the opponent. Of course, you wouldn’t be my opponent but in many cases, your business model, current web development practices and your technical staff can unwittingly be an opponent to your potential success. A telephone consultation can open you up to the key issues that are keeping your site from moving up in Google’s rankings. It can also give you an inexpensive hedge to make sure that your ongoing SEO efforts are on track.

My rate for phone consultation is a very reasonable $300/hour, $200 for a half hour Q&A. Depending upon the issues, the phone consultation is best combined with an SEO Audit or a follow-up session scheduled at an interval that I can check in on the progress you’ve made based on my recommendations and refine techniques or add new effective pieces to your marketing mix.

My handwritten reports are tailored entirely to your site and needs. They will thoroughly cover the following areas:

Keyword Research - I will supply you with keywords, including long tail keywords, suitable for content development or PPC. I will let you know in particular about any keywords that I see as “sweet spots” where you might be able to particularly find conversion success and increased profits through additional content pages or PPC landing pages.
Technical Review of Your Website - This is where I save many clients a bundle of dough. I will thoroughly check your site for its current search penetration (saturation), make sure that it is being indexed and can be indexed effectively based upon hosting, DNS, .htaccess, mod_rewrite and robots.txt. On-Page Optimization - This starts with your pages’ titles and other meta tags, includes an analysis of the current content, and how it needs to be formatted for search engine optimization. A thorough review of the efficacy of your internal linking structures is included.
Backlink Analysis - I will analyze the quality and volume of your backlinks. I will highlight your high quality links that should be replicated and suggest new link sources. I will include analysis of your competitor’s backlinks and give you a realistic assessment of where you stand in the “battle for backlinks.” The battle for backlinks is overblown by at least nine-tenths of professional SEO’s, but it is the foundation of ongoing link building efforts, and I will assist you in this strategy development.
Link Development - This section will include a suggested strategy for link development that includes best practices for acquiring links, unconventional techniques that can result in quality links, suggestion for “linkbait” that can lend itself to link propagation via viral marketing, and suggestions for keeping a balanced ratio of volume to quality.
Building Usability and Trust into Your Website - Here we concentrate on the factors that are both concrete and speculative for improving your position in Google and other search engines. I leave a certain amount of price flexibility available with this service. The base rate is $750, however that can scale up or downward based on the size of your site, the keyword range I must address and the time required to adequately research your site and your market.
